The regional department Middle East, Central Asia & North Africa is part of Open Doors. Within our Dutch office the following job has become vacant as of May/June 2018:

Support Manager Business Control
(32-40 hours per week, 0.8-1.0 FTE)

Purpose of the position
The Support Manager Business Control serves as a Business Partner for both our international financial departments and our leadership team. In this role you use your analytical skills and experience to develop business and financial recommendations and you support the leadership team with planning, budgeting and compliance reporting. You complete regular analyses, you identify and manage financial risks and opportunities. You monitor overall organizational performance and manage data which can be used for decision making. Together with a team you are responsible for the international data processing in our ERP application. You are eager to streamline processes that improve the effectiveness and efficiency in our organization. Your contribution to our projects in the field is to make sure that our mission – to support the persecuted church – is managed and executed according to OD standards.

Success factors for the Support Manager Business Control are:
• Competences: Planning & organization (ability to instruct, discuss expectations, set realistic goals and clear timelines), cross cultural communication (delivers clear, effective communications and takes responsibility for understanding others), result oriented (focus on realisation and impact of programs);
• Level of education: Minimum required educational level is MBA or Masters, preferably an academic level of working and thinking;
• Demonstrable work experience in financial, operational and business partnering roles;
• Excellent analytical and communication skills with ability to work under pressure;
• Experience with working in cross-functional teams, desirably within a matrix environment;
• Demonstrable knowledge of the culture and customs in the Middle East, Central Asia and North Africa;
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and narrative and financial reporting;
• Fluency in written and spoken English is essential; Knowledge of the Arabic language is a big plus;
• Christian commitment to the persecuted church. 

Additional information:
The job requires up to a maximum of 40 days of international travel.
